Mt. Lhotse(8516m) is the fourth highest mountain in the world. It lies in Everest region with very near of the Everest. The first successful summit of this mountain in 1956 by a Swiss expedition team. The word Lhotse came from “South Peak”, a massive part of Everest.
More than 400 climbers have been successfully summiting this mountain peak till date. Most of the climbing part of this mountain is common to the Everest. It is best chance to see the clear view of the summit of Everest. Also, it is the best zone to view many other peaks. The expedition starts from Lukla, which takes a 35-minute flight from Kathmandu. The best season to climb this mountain peak is April–May.
