Everest Base Camp Trek is known to be a world’s popular trekking trail. With height 8848m, Mt.Everest stands as a world’s crown in Himalaya. Climbing Everest might have a dream to every natural enthusiast and mountain lover. The EBC trek is also the best way to experience Mt.Everest by very closely. After the successful summit of this world’s highest peak in 1953 by climbing legend Sir. Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, the region has become popular all over the world.

In fact, the whole trek is situated in Sagarmatha National Park,  which covers an area of 1,148 sq. Km in the Solukhumbu District. In the lower forested zone birch, juniper, blue pines, firs, bamboo, and rhododendron grow. Despite being as a national park, the forests provide habitat to at least 118 species of birds including Himalayan monal, blood pheasant, red-billed chough, and yellow-billed chough. Another fact is Sagarmatha National Park is home to a number of rare mammal species including musk deer, snow leopard, Himalayan black bear and red panda.

Additionally, the best period to trek to Everest base camp is during (March, April, May, September, October, November, and December. However, it is possible to make the journey in February and early September but we prefer to trek into Everest base camp according to given months.
