Mt.Kanchenjunga (8586m) is third highest mountain, situated in north east Nepal. Also the Mt.Kanchenjung is second highest mountain of the Himalayas. The name Kanchenjung means “Five Trasure of the Great Snow”
Three of five peaks Main (8,586), central (8,482) and South (8,494) are lies on the border between North Sikkim and Nepal. The two highest Kangbachen 7,903, and Kangchenjunga West (Yalung Kang) 8,505 lies in Nepal. At a first time in 25 May 1955, Mt.Kanchenjunga was successfully summited by British Expedition Team.
Trekking in Mt.Kanchenjunga Region means cultural trek and natural attraction. There are more than 20 ethnic Nepali communities live together. Also it is said the region is rich in cultural diversity, festival and true lifestyle of Himalayan people.
The trekking route crosses the most of the Kanchenjunga Conservation Region which is full of flora & fauna. The rich diversity, breathe taking view of panoramic dazzling mountain peaks, river, lake and waterfalls are the main attracting showcase of the trek.
